Jeramiah Red

Recently named Best Rock Artist at the 2013 Orange County Music Awards, Jeramiah Red is kicking up the dust of the local music scene with their powerful uninhibited vocals, and southern rock and roll feel. Band members Wes Dickson, Ian Cullen, Tim Miller, Matt Pleskacz, and Travis Ruiz founded Jeramiah Red in 2008, and have since taken the Orange County Music scene by storm.

Local bands such as Robert Jon & The Wreck, Nicole Vaughn & Her Lovely Band, The Silent Comedy and Brett Schickling influenced these soulful rising stars. When asked whether they prefer playing live or in the studio, they responded, “Live, definitely. We really feed off of the energy of the crowd. It’s a blast. There’s nothing else like it.”

In addition to their epic live sets, you can hear their popular single (“My Baby), at the Honda Center after every home game victory for the Anaheim Ducks, and they are currently working on their highly anticipated second EP, “The Winter Tick”, at The Music Box Studios. They were nominated for six categories in the 2012 OC Music Awards along with 2 wins– a rare feat matched only by Young the Giant. The nominations include: Best Album (“Ghost Tracks from the Getty”), Best Song (“Can’t Help Myself”), Best Rock, Best Americana, and winners in Best New Artist, and Best Blues.
